By all reports, Cooper is basically the Nick Chubb of WR's, and they broke him.

Edit: It is very likely they weren't going to re-sign Cooper in the off-season, so I get the idea that you get something for him now instead of letting him go for nothing in February. I still hate this move though. Jeudy still has to show he is a #1 WR and I doubt he will do that. Moore is more of a slot guy than anything else. Just ugh.

Great deal for both sides. We were not going resign Coop, evidence by our refusal to give him an extension. Which makes sense given he is 30 years old. It also made sense to try to acquire a younger, more talented WR (Aiyuk), which probably burned the relationship. Since we're not going to make the playoffs, getting a 3rd for Amari is as good as it was going to get.

This signals a shift for our season. We are not holding out for a miracle. Which is good. It's tryouts for everyone outside of our primary players.

We're going to find out at the bye week I suspect how deep the bad blood is in this locker room and who is responsible, but I wouldn't advocate a complete blow up unless the locker room is AFU.
