Are you happy overall as a Cavs fan?

I watched some of yesterday's game. Really haven't kept up much with it over the years. Still sometimes afternoon games bring me back some happy nostaglia for some reason.

I think they've underachieved so far this year. Still there at least competitive. Considering most here are Browns fans and it's been 15 plus years since the playoffs. More trying to keep things in perspective

Let's face it, any team that LeBron is on has high expectations. He has brought the city of Cleveland it's first title in decades. With that being said, and the recent trades, I expect way more out of this team. I am happy with the trades and like some of the pieces, but with the playoffs on the horizon, they need to get it together quickly. Anything short of the finals would be a major disappointment.

Kind of like the tribe's early exit last year.

I'm an atypical Basketball fan in that I 'follow' teams more-so than take an avid fanatic kind of role. I appreciate the sport and I just like to watch it and because I like the pace and athleticism of it and when a team works together well it's appreciable on another level.

For me, to answer your question, I am happy following the Cavs because I've watched a team this year that got hot when they were in the midst of dealing with a lot of injuries and inevitably struggled to handle when that glut of talent became healthy and needed minutes. Other sports franchises, other teams, they hit ruts and they keep on digging or they maybe back up and try again head on. It was nice to see a GM find a way to fix multiple problems concurrently in such a short fashion and also in doing so drastically re-shape the image of the team. From a sports fan perspective it was incredibly fascinating and could for example: cement LeBron James legacy if he were to win a championship this year. The team needs to work out its kinks but it was evident moves needed to be made and I think we made the right moves. Larry Nance isn't exactly a problem solver for our interior problems as an example but he makes Tristan Thompson even more expendable by basically being able to do what he does, better.

The Cavs dealt with their glut of lineup issues, streamlined the roles and responsibilities and in time the results should yield merit just in time for the post-season. Is this a championship team?

Hold a gun to my head... I say no. That doesn't mean it won't be fun to see how it plays out, so yeah I am happy.

The basketball is a bit of a haven in of itself so if you like to chat basketball it's not quite as downtrodden as the main football forum for obvious reasons lol.
