Browns Browns @ the Halfway

sailorsam

I come in peace
AFC East

Bills look near unbeatable, and I expect them to host the AFCCG. How will Andy Reid’s offense do in the Arctic?..Jets and Miami doing very well but the NEPs are lurking just a game back. Boo. I see at least one if not two WCs this division.

AFC North

the Browns did the Ravens a big favor by beating Cinci (not sure how Cleveland fans feel about that). It’s the Ravens division to lose. Either Ohio team could go on a run and grab a WC. I don’t think Steelers are going anywhere this year. (good)

AFC South

Titans and three other teams. Colts could make a run without Matt Ryan.

AFC West
Chiefs will be in it at the end of course. Chargers have potential for a WC. Lost year for Denver and Vegas

NFC East

did not expect Philly to tear it up like this. Right now they are the class of the NFC. Cowboys and Giants are overachieving; I think Dallas has a better chance to maintain a playoff run.

NFC North

Did anyone expect the Vikings to start like this? I figured they were going to give up and rebuild when they traded Stefon. Kirk Cousins IS the man. Things are getting ugly in Green Bay.

NFC South

Falcons are in first place @ 4-4??? well somebody gotta win this division. Bucs are in freefall, Bears are in trading mode, Lions taking a huge step back (I really thought they’d be decent this year)

NFC West

Seahawks are in first with a shaky 5-3. I see 49ers catching them. Rams really suffering the SB hangover. Cardinals will probly fire everybody in the off season and start over.

SURPRISES: Vikings and Giants. Minnie gambled and won.
DISAPPOINTS: Packers and Cardinals. and Matt Ryan. and maybe Tom Brady.

BROWNS: a little disappointing but not too late to save the season. A new QB will help

Ok, glass is half full post for the remainder

• Phins - in the basement for O-line pass protection ratings
• Bills - only hope is they are looking past us
• Bucs - looking rutterless with an old distracted one-dimensional QB

We really should/could be 5-6 upon Watson’s return, then…

• Texans - tankathon
• Bengals - Watson hopefully getting tuned up
• Ravens - their WR’s are horrible and our DB’s are gelling

These three games ARE the season. Could be 8-6 with the best in-division record, then to finish…

• Saints
• Commanders
• Steelers

We all know this isn’t our Super Bowl year, but there’s a chance for a darn entertaining finish.

Keeping with the glass half full theme I like this offense for the most part. The OLine is the best in the business and that travels well on the road. The OLine can be counted on every single week as well as Chubb. I believe we can pass the ball to Chubb more too on screens and dump offs into the flats. He's a reasonably good receiver than we've seen, I believe.

The D has improved in the run game and that's with 3rd and 4th string LB's. If we can get Chase Winovich back into the rotation with Isaiah Thomas and Alex Wright we'll have a lot more gas late in the games. I've been ok with Taven Bryan at DT and Winfrey. It could be better but it could be worse.

Overall, we need more leaders in the locker room to keep each other focused and playing at their best.
