I’m not defending him as this falls on him as well. That said, I don’t understand how he wins with backup QBs and playoffs with Baker but the offense looks like its stalls with Watson behind center.

It's one game to be sure.

Watson is going to be the guy, unless they have an out on his contract. If they have that type of opportunity to let him go that is huge going forward. Without it the cost is significant. If they were to let him go the team likely is negatively impacted.

I hope Watson gets it together because it's the best path to success atm. I'm not confident at all.

No. Our offense was total trash with Baker, to the point Stefanski chased him out of town. The Covid year was a joke.

It's clear to me Winston should be starting for the Browns over Deshaun Watson right now, and if Cleveland can't see that, it is letting sunk cost fallacy get in the way of rational thinking.

I am not in favor of the notion Winston should be starting or even considered for replacing Watson at this point. But the film don't lie. Watson his been slow and hesitant at times, especially week 1. He got better in week 2. Last week was a shit show across the board by all 11 on offense.

Defense hasn't been very good either. Same flaws as last year and very predictable

It's hard when we haven't had decent QB play since 2020. And right now, there's not a QB in the league who can't hold Watson's jock strap. Maybe that will change. Watson can still turn it around. But I don't think his heart is in it.
