NFL Draft Our 2017 draft

If you're juiceless, you're useless
Clearly the "build the team" draft ... (and get a QB whenever). Many variables to that season's outcome, but this is how it went:

Myles Garrett (DE, Texas A&M) - 1st Round, 1st Overall
Jabrill Peppers (DB, Michigan) - 1st Round, 25th Overall
David Njoku (TE, Miami) - 1st Round, 29th Overall (via trade)
DeShone Kizer (QB, Notre Dame) - 2nd Round, 52nd Overall
Larry Ogunjobi (DT, North Carolina-Charlotte) - 3rd Round, 65th Overall

That's one nice draft tbh.

Q: "Siri, what was the Browns record in the fall of 2017"
A: "The Browns blew ass on their way to a 0-16 record"

Reply: "oh"

Siri: "The Browns then drafted a QB with the number 1 overall pick in 2018"
Reply: "So, what's your point?"
Siri: "A quarterback, even though not perfect, can win you a lot more games than any other player".

I don't care if we "overdraft" a QB at 2. Daniel Jeremiah has Ward at 10 and Sanders at 11, overall. It's not like they're all graded out as Saturday picks, and really, who knows in the end.
I'd rather overdraft one vs standing in the batter's box with the bat on our shoulder.

Sure, draft that Edge from PSU, despite DE being our deepest room. It'll still come down to QB play.

Lord God let that infant Jeff Carson AB not screw this up.

(end rant)

Man...if we could redraft the 2017 draft, we would be a different franchise and might have made at least 1 Super Bowl.

1.1 - Patrick Mahommes, QB, Texas Tech
1.25 - T.J. Watt, DE, Wisconsin
2.29 - JuJu Smith-Schusler, WR, USC
2.52 - Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
3.65 - Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington

We'd have won a Super Bowl if KC hadn't traded up and we'd have taken Mahomes at #12. I was so disappointed. I had been screaming to the high heavens on this site pleading with the Browns to take Mahomes. Hell, we might have won one if we hadn't made the stupid trade with Houston and taken Watson.
