Gabriel is the only QB on roster who can create. There is no doubt he is currently better than Sanders. He's had a better college career and was drafted higher. If we're talking traits, Sanders is only ahead in height. And I like Sanders.Eh, there's a 0.2% chance Gabriel outperforms Sanders, a 0.8% chance he outperforms Pickett and a 0.1% chance he outperforms Flacco.
He fits with what we need, being that we didn't draft a Jayden Daniels, a QB that doesn't turn the ball over and throws accurately and on time. Not a big fan of his. But he can manage a game. But I seriously doubt he's better than Sanders right now. We will see. One thing is for sure. Our QB room is better than it has been since Baker left. We have legitimate options. After that it's pretty easy to see how this will go. Pickett suddenly becoming startable is unlikely. And Flacco is 40. I'd expect Gabriel to secure the the starting job by WK 3 Preseason most likely.
Sanders was a consensus 1st round talent who fell because of perceived attitude issues and his celebrity father trying to leverage his kid for an NFL coaching job.Gabriel is the only QB on roster who can create. Makes sense. Many are saying Gabriel was drafted to be the foreseeable, affordable, back up.
Sanders is the lottery ticket.
you'd better get used to this FO being around for a very long time...If Sanders works out
This here. They have ready been here 4 years too long.
I don't know man. I kind of have the other take. Not much sense of urgency. Most of the time, GM's on the hot seat have no problem trading away future assets to move up in the draft now.know they are on borrowed time
We all wanted the Browns to address the QB position. Berry has so far gotten Pickett (big gamble but inexpensive), Flacco (solid vet), Sanders (possible above average starter), and Gabriel (tons of experience and success).
And an extra #1 for next year's draft.
I kind of like it.
You could be right. At this point everything is conjecture and spit balling. For all we know Jimmy told everyone sorry about the Watson BS, let's rebuild it and try again.I don't know man. Instead, Berry's team was planning for next year. Having said that, if he just drafted two dud QB's, he still has next year's class to take another hack at it.
I will say, come Christmas of 2026, he's either got it right, or he's gone.
