Surprised me too. But with what will be an ever increasing salary level probably good they did it now. Contract will look low in a year or two and still movable baring dramatic fall off in production

Yes and no. A lot of that depends on age of player,performance, and money left.

Allen's contract is not a max, other than years. It is far from max when it comes to dollars.

Here we go on our way to another 50 win season. so great to have a team that's a winner.
The biggest change is Kenny Atkinson, a 38% winning coach. having another chance. and what a chance. getting a second round playoff team, that doesn't happen often in this league. well come to think of it. it does happen more lately.

BJ was cooking here, going from 22 wins to 44,51,48, @ 52% over his 4 full seasons. 47% over all. got a new job with the Pistons very fast.
it's was that ugly tanked game that turned me off. otherwise he did a very good job. but I'm not sad. I get tanking seasons but not a game.
Kenny waited 4 years for his next HC job. so there's that. I hope he does great. but he never has.

It's all about health in season and the playoffs. we can beat anyone.

My rule is don't EVER worry about other peoples money. and in sports this money thing must be ignored. if not where is the Fun/childishness in it ?
Even in practicality if your team doesn't pay the player another team will. never forget Carlos Boozer our FO missed up his contract and LBJ lost his best player early on. that non-move might of cost us rings. or a few of them.
 
Thank goodness the NBA starts up.

So Max is out for 6-8 weeks. that should allow for Ty & Tyson some minutes. many talking heads our high on Kenny getting coach of the year. let's hope so. there's not a lot to talk about because we had little change in the off season. I'm happy we kept TT I think he coached up our big's last year they looked Tougher. I wish we went after Chris Paul. he would have been good to toughen up our guys.

What are the Lakers doing ? they made few moves also. LBJ not talking about getting a Ring is empty. their draft pick Dalton Knecht looked like a steal in the preseason. Bronny & JJ what can you say ?

Hating the Celtics as a kid in the 1960s as a Laker fan had me rooting for the Knicks or the 76ers. still to this day. sadly the Knicks look better than us(till we beat them). they are making lots of changes. will it make them better ? we will see. not doing well tonight. that's why they made these changes to beat the Celtics.
