NFL Draft 2025 Draft stuff

For Round 2, I still think this offense is in desperate need so I hope that's the focus.

Luther Burden III would be an easy replacement and possible upgrade for Elijah Moore.

Aireontae Ersery would help provide depth to our OL, and potentially replace Jack Conklin in '26. It's also important to note that Dawand Jones has yet to finish a season healthy and is no sure thing.

Treyvon Henderson is well known among Browns fans for being electric in Columbus for years and being a very well-rounded RB. We are in desperate of a Nick Chubb successor and Henderson would be a strong pick to fill the role.

The Edges Mike Green and Donovan Ezeiruaku are intriguing because I think they could push our DL over the top. Maybe not the Eagles, but we're starting to make an argument if they perform to their potential.

BUT, as has been said before many times, the quickiest way to ensure your defense is going to suck is by forcing them on the field all the time. So as enticing as it may be to double dip at DL, I actually think if we take a combination of Burden/Ersery/Henderson our defense will improve simply by our offense being functional. How do we get functional? We need talent.

One thing we’ve done is we’ve set ourselves up for a QB this year AND next year if needed.
We couldn’t reach Ward.
We didn’t want Dart

I think we have one of two draft approaches from here on out.

1. The Sanders/Milroe draft (a QB out of the gate tonight)
2. The McCord/Howard draft (whatever QB whenever later)

I base this on nothing haha

I'd get RB Henderson at 33 and Sanders at 36. Sanders will still be there on account Tenn has Ward and the Giants have Dart.

It's a beautiful plan that worked out for us. We get Sanders, Henderson and the best DT prospect of the draft to add to that, we get Jax's 1st rd pick next year.

*Now about this coming season...

If I am Truckstop Jimmy.....

I already know I am sending Berry down the road at the end of the season. His idiocy knows no limits, and I have finally lost faith in the stupid ass been counter in the basement and I am bouncing his ass out as well.

I send down a mandate: No QB this season. None. You are only to draft high floor players the entire draft.

I am leaving the next GM with an arsenal next year to hopefully finally draft intelligently moving forward, and to draft an elite QB, even if I gotta pay Kev the yes man to tank for the #1 pick.

AB needs to fucking go. This clown bombs every draft he and his butt buddy Paul run.

A 290lb UT with zero pass rush ability? They just made Al Davis look like a GM genius in comparison. I would say Jerreh Jones as well except that stupid old bastard wasted a 1st round pick on a fucking Guard and told AB to hold his Ensure chocolate drink.

We will see.
And they have next years 1st rounder.
They lost nothing if he's a bust. If he works out, double win.

I was pretty livid last night.

We averaged 15.2 PPG on offense last year and scored 20+ 3 times all season. Both last in the NFL. We also has the worst 3rd down offense in the NFL. We could have had the #1 scoring defense in the NFL last season (17 PPG) and we still would have gone 4-13. My knee jerk reaction was, how in the hell do we pass on one of the best playmakers in recent memory, which fills a major area of need, for a DT? A DT which again, doesn't technically add wins to a bad offense? The last time we passed on a generational WR (Julio Jones) and traded the pick, it turned out to be a monumental mistake.

Cleveland's run defense was 22nd in the NFL and bad DT's (and LB's) were a major problem. Graham excels at run stopping...the best in the draft and he stops the run at an elite level. He is actually the perfect compliment to Garrett.

In totality, Graham, an additional 2nd (36) and a 1 in 2026 is a pretty solid haul for the #3 pick.

So now, where do we go in round 2? Based on Berry's comments last night and the fact that it seems like we are trying to emulate the Eagles model (front 7 dominance...and OL dominance)...it feels like we will go BPA at 33 and 36....then RB (great depth) and possibly WR with our 2 picks in round 3.

So who is BPA at 33 and 36? Who goes with our [Eagles] philosophy?

1. CB - Will Johnson, Michigan. He was considered a top 15 overall player by many analysts. He an absolute steal at 33 or 36.
2. S - Nick Emmanwori, SCar. Great athlete who can cover slot WR's or outside and stop the run.
3. DE - Mike Green, Marshall. FBS sack leader (17)
4. OT - Aireontea Ersey, Minnesota. Best OT available

Not saying these are the guys I want, but it seems to be the types of guys that Berry & Co typically target and go with the philosophy we are following. To be honest, any of those 3 defenders will make our D very, very stout and super formidable.

We do we go in round if those are indeed the picks?

RB - My preference in order Kaleb Johnson (probably gone). TreyVeone Henderson (probably gone). DJ Giddens. RJ Harvey. Brayshul Tuten. Quinshon Junkins.

QB - My preference in order Shedeur Sanders (probably gone). Kyle McCord. Jalen Milroe. Quinn Ewers. Will Howard.

We'll see how it goes. But I do have reservations given Berry's poor draft history.
