Favorite Bands/Music

It's alive it's alive......IT'S ALIVE!!!! Someone get the defibrillator...this thread isn't dead!

Finnish hillbilly band doing heavy metal....AC/DC no less. I know a Canadian Amish Electrician...which is also a strange combination.

I can't view it on my work computer but I think I've seen it before. It's awesome. As is most of what comes from Finland.

Most of my favorites are in the areas of classic and punk rock. Huge Guns N' Roses fan, Weezer, Rancid, Pearl Jam, New Bomb Turks.

I also play orchestral percussion, drums, guitar, piano, bass, trombone (if I still remember how), and sing badly. Haven't been in a band in a few years since my amps are all at my dad's place 1000 miles away and I can't exactly have a drum set in a one-bedroom apartment.

Lol, sweet video. Pantera, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Wu Tang, Incubus, 311, Eminem, Jay Z, Iron Freaking Maiden, Rise Against, Pennywise, Dream Theatre, 3-6 Mafia and Volbeat are some all time favs of mine. If you lie Finnish music, Him, Children of Bodom and Apocolyptica are a few that come to mind.

Growing up in C-town in the 60s &70s was nothing short of amazing. it truly was the Rock capital of the world. would take a couple of years to tell stories of those years. going to the Agora almost nightly if it was not there the old Allen theater, Public Hall, The Front Row just to name a few. I worked just to go to shows and meet chicks. lol it wasn't hard as most were less than $5

The community of people who I knew in those days that made it happen Jane Scott,Hank LoConti. some i meet but did not know well Mike and Jules Belkin these made the history that made the Rock Hall come to where it belonged.

It was so much fun it's hard to remember it all. when I get together with a few old pals one will tell on the other of why they forgot a night if you get what i mean.

Having read thru this thread I'll try too add a couple names.
Todd Rundgren - way under rated
Duke & the Drivers - just a fun band
The Tubes - just different
Jethro Tull - party animal
Eric Burdon - way beyond party animal oh my goodness

local talent
Tiny Alice - my pals. they helped me get inside it all. thank you
Joe Walsh - dated a buddy's sister. would show us licks
Eric Carmen - what a Talent
Michael Stanley - a guy most of America sadly missed
Buzzy Linhart - not from area but we loved him best
Alex Bevan - what a story teller

One story being Kidnapped by my pal's and waking up 10 miles outside of Pittsburgh on my way to see Pink Floyd. long story short lol

Another was setting at the Swingos Keg & Quarter one night with some friends and these 4 guys walked in. it was Kiss we seen them and we all laughed and agreed no wonder they wore makeup.

should write a book. those were the days my friends

The past 20 years or so mostly listen to Jazz - Fusion Mike Stern,Steve Smith,Pat Metheny etc

I like most every type of music, but my wheelhouse is classic hard rock: Dead Milkmen, The Godz, Alex Harvey, Artful Dodger, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Zeppelin (man), J. Geils, Aerosmith, Bad Co, Black Sabbath, Rancid, Cage The Elephant, Humble Pie. I saw several World Series of Rock shows at the old stadium. Pink Floyd the Animals tour, Ted Nugent, Nazareth, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, The Cars, Rundgren who filled in for Aerosmith when their drummer Joey Kramer broke his leg. I saw Van Halen open for the original Black Sabbath at the coliseum as well as Styx open for Aerosmith who were way to high to perform and sucked bad.
