also just noticed as I was typing this quick reply it said "reply saved" that's gotta save some people that do extensive replies only to lose them with the click of a wrong button or internet problem.

I think it may be a known error, I havent had a chance to dig into it yet. What do you do for a living Dawg? If you ever want to volunteer to help, let me know. You sound like you know your way around databases better than I do. Could give you access to the back end and you can help me build this thing to greatness.

Found a guy that mightbe able to build a somewhat cool style for us for $100. Not exactly build. But add a background image of my choosing and create a header to attach to a style he already created.

Here's a link to the style I am thinking about. http://www.xitclub.com/free-vbulletin-templates/88081-x-orange-premium-theme-font-awesome-icons.html Will have him change all the black to dark brown, and the black grates to dark brown as well, while switching out the background and the header. What do you guys think?

Thanks, dude. Awesome job so far. Just changing the font to Brown made it real easy on the eyes, which makes it much more navigable. Well, for me anyways. I hope everyone else feels the same way. I'll be looking forward to all the great features. I already see the "auto-saved" message flash as I type. Cool stuff. It would be nice if the site could realize when I had a few too many and stop me from posting the sometimes belligerent, yet passionate and frustrated, posts. :D

Ha...my dBase experience was building an auditing/reporting program. Most of it was in ACCESS, but I also did some writing in Sequel. Nothing with chats and such. I doubt I would be much help, but would be happy to give it a shot...when I am not buried in work...or taking care of my son (will be born in Febuary...ANOTHER BROWNS FAN!!!). With that said, a lot of what I would have to offer seems to be pre-built into the format you have here.

is there any way to get the auto youtube function back? Or do we have to use the video tags moving forward?

Also,

Ive tried to post a few animated gifs from giphy and get a "this file is too large" error.. which is strage because they werent that big, I was direct linking, and there wasnt any issues with it before the update... is there a new limit due to bandwidth or something?
 
Can we 'brighten' up the orange font color so it stands out from the brown background? Actually, any darker font (including black obviously) is darn near invisible if its laid on the brown background.

I see there's an Articles section. Will this be used? Will there be a writing staff, or just random articles by members? Either way, I might be interested in doing some writing.
 
I don't know toasted. I have tried many times over the years to get people to volunteer for that type of stuff. Even directly asked some of our better posters. Nobody ever wants to put in the work.


There is a blog section as well that EE uses and I used to use from time to time.

But if you are feeling up to getting more involved, I am certainly open to working with you on that!

Be a bit though.

All of my money is currently being funneled into lawyers or I would already have paid for a new style to be implemented. Law ....what a racket.

Once I get the other priorities out of the way, would love for some people to take an active role in writing for us. (beyond what is already written in the forum)
 
You can now link your BH account to your Facebook. The blue button at the top of the page. I recommend everyone do it, as it will allow you to like threads, and blog posts, articles, etc. In other words, it will help us spread the word, and get some (hopefully) solid members to our already amazing member list. (I can't tell if this is working or not, I "liked" this thread, and I saw no evidence of it working)
