It’s the opposite of, say, Shedeur, who doesn’t really have an elite tool, but is good at quarterbacking.

Milroe has an elite tool. Speed.

Thoughts?

 
Jalen Milroe received an invitation and will be in attendance for the Draft. Major indication that he will be going much higher than what has been expected.

He is one of the few QBs we've held a private workout with. Familiarity with our new OC Tommy Rees from their time together in 'Bama. Maybe the biggest upside at the position this Draft.

4.4 Speed on a 6'2'' 220 frame. Justin Fields Athletic Profile, but nowhere near the QB he was coming out and it's not like Fields has lit up the NFL World so far. Will require as much time on the bench as possible, but the returns might be jaw-dropping. Think the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts.

I think it's worth a move-up from 33 if Sanders wasn't the pick at 2 for the 5th year option. There's just too much upside even if he is coming in underdeveloped. I just wouldn't put him out there like Anthony Richardson. It will take time.
 
Remember when Lamar would complete like 2 passes, take off running like 4 times, and then the Ravens would kick a FG? Maybe that's the plan.
Need that kicker of course.
 
If we had an Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson I would say sure, trade back in the draft to fill as many holes as possible then grab Milroe and sit him for the next 2 seasons to see if you can convert him into a QB.

We don't have either of those guys so I say pass. Ward, Sanders, Dart and even Sheough would be better options.
 
Been on Milroe all along. Like everything about him except the small hands.

Allegedly highly intelligent, raised in a military family, etc. You can't teach that speed. Think he goes earlier than expected, and we will have to move up quite a bit to get him ...not sure we can pull it off.
