NFL Draft Pick #74, Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee

Ok. So the math formula says "x" amount is what he's due. Do that. If he isn't signing what's the problem. If the Browns are offering less than that, why? Well, we all know why but he's due a pre-determined amount.

Unless the FO is gaming the roster spot somehow and waiting for a perfect time to strike. A time that coincides with a roster spot opening up suddenly and them getting a very good player for a bargain.

IR player doesn't take up a spot on the active roster. It's why you see teams having to release/waive players when a guy comes back from injury.

It's all about money on both sides. The question is how far apart are they. Just hypothetical, but say the Browns doctors say he'd be out for 4 weeks with his injury. Schwartz outside doctor says the recovery is 8 weeks. He'd be dumb to take 4, and CLE wouldn't want to pay 8. I am not completely sure, but I think he could also just stay on IR all year, this getting for than a settlement for X games.

Schwartz when waived as waived/injury had to first clear waivers because he is on his rookie contract (rule to prevent teams from trying to stash a young player on IR to keep them). That means no market for him, or at least at his current salary/contract with.

So all about $$ on both sides. The only issue it creates for CLE is about money out of their pocket, and I guess freeing up a jersey#.

More of that in a game and where he runs the correct route.

KS was pissed at him last year a couple of times for running the wrong route. If he gets that fixed then we got something going with the big WR.

Word is he is very focused and physically worked his ass off so far in the off season. WR jobs can be very fleeting in the NFL if you don't do that.

Hopefully, this plays out to at least a DPJ level of contribution.

(of course, this is the work on every WR every off season, except Dwayne Bowe)

Who was the certified crazy MF'er who went nuts in FLA? He was a small guy and I can't remember his name atm. This was at least 10 years ago or so?

Found it!

Kenny (MF'in') Britt!!

So, I was wrong on a few things. He's 6'03 230. But he has had several problems resulting in local police having to resolve. Let alone the fact that after he got paid by the Browns he quit.

Damn happy for Ced. The off season reports were he worked his ass off, and the Browns had high hopes for him. He had to endure weeks of "AB wants Jeudy", but just kept working.

A really nice 1 minute vid below. Shows Ced lining up/catch/sideline, the radio booth's reaction etc etc. Watch Jameis's eyes in the pocket. He was scanning like crazy. Jamies and Moore's moment cool too. Moore can't help but laugh lol.

Nice to see the smiles all around.
