It was never a talent issue...it was always a Dad and ego issue.
We are taking swings...that is what we need. This is a solid gamble. He is cheap - draft pick-wise and salary-wise. He has been humbled through this process. Maybe he puts his head on straight and maybe he doesn't. If he succeeds we win. If he doesn't, we lose nothing. We still have the assets to get a Top QB next season.
Anybody critical of this move is just flat out dumb.
And with all due respect, nobody in the history of BH has been more wrong about QBs. This is how I became interested in Jaxson Dart, you claimed he was awful. lol!
All kidding aside, I am super happy with taking Sanders in the 5th round. Right around where I'd want to take a flier on his genes alone.

OMG yes. Having two first rounders and NOT needing a QB? That's the dream scenario, BUT, the two 1st-rounders is damn reassuring, in case we need to go back to the QB well.

My dream scenario right now is Sanders lives up to the Top 5 hype he was receiving, replacing Flacco early in the season and lighting it up the rest of the year. That leaves us two first rounders to grab him some new toys to play with moving forward.
