Interesting ...

The Browns have set the contract numbers for Bush & Lucas just below the threshold for comp picks.
They may do the same move with Joe Tryon-Shoyinka so that they can get a pick for Hudson.
Collins doesn't qualify as he was cut.

At only $3.25M base APY, Cornelius Lucas will be on the bubble as to qualifying as a compensatory free agent. As it stands right now, that would be the difference between whether the Commanders get a 2026 comp pick or not.

AB surely has this in mind. The Eagles draft capital is crazy this year d/t draft picks.

Two things

1) Myles contract revealed how little leverage he had
2) We still have room if needed

Salary Cap Update:

The Cleveland Browns current cap space is $10,216,407, there is still the Conklin reworked deal to be confirmed which will open around another $11m plus other moves they will make too like restructuring Ward and Pocic then potentially trading Newsome. When it comes to 2025 cap space I am not concerned.

As things currently stand the Cleveland Browns have $20,221,501 of 2025 salary cap space.

Trade Newsome, and restructure Ward and Pocic, and the cap goes up to $55,000,000, which would put us THIRD in available cap space.
Trade Teller for Aiyuk straight-up, and we'd still have $44,000,000 in cap space.

So, let's do the worst NFL contract ever, in Watson, and then tell the NFL to stick-it, as we're signing a 10 time probowler for ten's of millions in Russ. Bwahahahahaha. Hamstrings us my-ass.
