NFL AFC North News

I know, what's your point? lol

*To clarify, Bill is Brian's dad and would likely join him if he got a HC job.
My point was to clarify in case you were mixing them up.

Now that your own point has been made explicit, I wonder why Bill wouldn't have been on staff in Cinci if he were in his son's hip pocket?
Obviously we're both just speculating but I'm not convinced it's a done deal that Bill follows Brian if Brian gets a HC gig. Bill turned down opportunities to remain in CLE, just signed an extension this year, and for all we know might well value continuity and his relationships in CLE over blindly following his son wherever. But I too speculate. You could be right!

Ravens lose DC McDonald to Seahawks to be new HC
Ravens lose front office guy Joe Hortiz to be new GM
and they lose DB coach Dennard Wilson to be Titans new DC
this brain drain will do them no good

Browns would do well to keep Hurst and draft another DT and let Elliot go. Siaki Ika showed very little but he should be able to fill Elliot's role reasonably well. Eat up guards so the LB's can make tackles in the run game.

Playing pit is all about stopping the run and making their average QB's throw the ball. How long will it take for Pickens to be a locker room problem with A Smith running the hell out of the ball with Tomlin's approval?
:sneaky:

(Upon further review I'd resign Shelby Harris (1year) over Elliot and coach up Ika.)

I know you have reading comprehension issues, but I immediately got debate as to whether that would happen. Also I am 100% sure you thought he would stay with the Browns, because you are you.
It's so obvious it's funny you're claiming divinity because of the obvious nepotism element. It makes perfect sense he's going to coach with his son. My dad and I coached a youth basketball team for a decade. One of the best times of my life. Who wouldn't go? Good on the Browns for letting him and good on you for being so prescient.

Assuming we redo Cooper's contract and extend him another year through 2025, I'd pass on Agholor and coach up Tillman. Same for Elijah Moore who picked it up a little bit while Flacco was here. The WR room needs a legit speed guy like Marquise Goodwin. Unfortunately, Goodwin had medical issues and a one year deal. Maybe re-sign him since it's only 1.6 million per year. Make it depend on him making the roster in case we draft a speed guy who can play or if he has more medical issues, we can easily thank him for his service and move on.

I'd easily take Madubuike if the money was doable. Doubt it.

We have a high end LB in JOK. Probably best to figure out how to fit him into the cap. It's a good message to send around the league that we sign our own guys as much as we can.

We're still going to miss out on some talented guys. Takitaki might get a contract we can't afford. Dustin Hopkins is only making 2.8 mil
and is a UFA in 2025.

I'd like to keep Greg Newsome II after this year too. The trio of Ward, Newsome and the new kid Emerson is arguably the best and we all know Ward is good to miss three or four games a season.
