Good luck selling PSL's then... because both my Brother and Brother in law are giving up their seat licenses.. They are already ungodly expensive.. Even the Middle class can't afford it anymore... Fuck Brook Park...I just can't get past the fact that Haslam is putting in billions, and it's his team like it or not, and people are complaining about it.
Modell moved the team because he was poor. Jimmy is fighting to keep the team here, and it's totally tone deaf to think the current stadium is going to sit well with any well-off owner.
Sure, I'd love the exact BP layout on the lake with a nice pedestrian bridge to downtown and a fully rerouted highway system to improve egress.
I mean, the muni lot is beloved, but in the end, it's a weird little parking lot the fans have made the most of.
The estimates are north of 5 billion to do all of that. So, for those who think that should happen, where is that money to come from?
Downtown Cleveland needs so much more. Why throw the money at the Browns? For the city, it's a lot to spend in the wrong direction, and for the Browns, it's an insultingly low amount below what they need to get it going.
I dunno. I'm pro BP.
dei is/was just a bad idea. easy to put that down. it gained nothing. it's not dead.We have allowed locals to make us pay and not them. We can end that BS if we choose to just like ending DEI.
But your area gets new tax payers. or another town gets them.I don't like the fact that it's unfair to taxpayers like me and you. If they're going to allow you and I to qualify for abatements it's not a problem.
And now to hear Bibb tell outright lies is truly pathetic. It's amazing how poor Bibb's offer was to the Browns financially. Truly laughable.
Damn right. I go to some game from SC every couple of years and get club level between the 30 yd lines. Been to CLE, ATL, CHAR and Metlife/NYC stadiums. Usually around $300-$500 on secondary markets and then get to visit those cities for a day or so. Fits me and the wife to a T.I was paying thousands a year to be on the 8 yard line in the upper deck, 13 rows from the top. F that.
Now my son and I do one game, and do the club level. Wayyyy cheaper than an entire season, and a much better experience.
I've found most who opinionate on how it should all stay on the lakefront haven't read a thing, or followed along, on the financial particulars. And now to hear Bibb tell outright lies is truly pathetic.
People with any common sense are gonna see straight through Cleveland’s BS tactics and lack of credibility.
It’s a shame for 30 years Cleveland has done zero on the lakefront.
