Browns Deshaun Watson - Football Talk

That's coach speak for "they're fired".

I'm just going to continue speaking these positive thoughts into the universe.

As far as Watson living like a millionaire while his teammates toil away ...what a cunt. He's in Cleveland even less than Baker was and that was an insult. This is worse, you're being paid enough to suffer with us, bitch. Unless he was told to stay away.

You wonder if we’ll ever get accountability on the Watson debacle.

I’m just so dead on everything Browns right now….

I’m just so burnt out
And we’ve got 2 years still to get out from this mess.

Someone has to get fired or the owners need to out themselves as idiots .

In the end, AB was wrong about the on-field Watson.

Nobody saw that coming. NOBODY.

They knocked the contract and the baggage, but that didn’t prove to be the undoing of the deal.

The “Worst trade in the history of the NFL” crowd had to change their narrative from money and reputation, to “he stinks”. Lucky for their agenda, I suppose.

But lucky for AB (in a way), he had 100% company in Watson’s talent eval at the time. He had more probowls than the rest of the AFCN QB’s combined, at the age of 25.

He must be a really good liar. "I've never been more ready to get on the field and prove I'm still the best!" or something like that. And AB and Jimmy ate it up.

Meanwhile, Watson was laughing his ass off all the way to the bank.

Funny how I've not heard a single word from a single Brown about Watson's play or that he's going to be back and great or that he was our leader or how much they can't wait for him to get back or anything at all.

I don't think anyone misses him.

Sorry, Ocon, however you want to measure it, worst trade in NFL history. Unlucky as fuck, but still the worst trade in NFL history.

We're the #2 passing team in the NFL since Watson got hurt. It wasn't play calling. It was Watson sucking ass.

This spring I think I'll go Bake some cookies in a May field and dream of what could have been.

Watson seems to be like Tiger. When Tiger was fucking everything in sight, he was playing fantastic golf, best ever. Then he got caught and his world crumbled, along with his game.

Same for Watson: on top of the world when he was getting hand-jobs left and right. Then he got caught (or screwed over) and his world crumbled along with his game.

I don't think he'll ever get it together again.

Worst trade? Yep. Didn’t say it wasn’t. Just saying the reason it didn’t turn out had to morph.

Trade day : “too much guaranteed and he has baggage”
Today : “he played poorly”

The elite QB part, in the end, is what made the trade not work out. Same as any other blockbuster trade. If the key piece falls flat on his face, the over-payer looks like an idiot.

This is why Watson returns. It sucks but we all know it's his contract that determines his spot. It doesn't mean his spot can't be something other than playing QB. If he doesn't like it he can ask for a trade but now he'd be forced to redo his contract.
