It's time to move on. There's nothing I can say that we don't already know. We still have a great roster and Jameis Winston is 2024 is probably better than Joe Flacco in 2023.

I have no problem with it. Tired of the drama and tired of waiting for him to return to form.
Prior to yesterday, I was totally okay with giving him the next month, as with our upcoming opponents, if he can't do it vs them, then he's lost it, and it isn't coming back.

But now, I'm cool with moving on. I'm not sure what news could come out this week that would make me feel differently.
The NFL and Browns have both come out with a "no comment" statement. WTH.

Now, watch him finally throw for 300 with 3 TD's.

Jameis had a good season in 2021. And then and before that it was a whole lot of meh.

He will never return to form.. The glenoid nerve in his shoulder is shot...

I am not usually one to throw in the towel, but I vote move on in the most timely and reasonably money conscious way. But, let's not waste the core we have by building a "five years from now team".

Using this past Sunday as a reference point to make any judgement on QB play is a fools errand. Top to bottom across all 11 and the offensive coaching staff was a shit show. There were so many points of failure to single out any one player as the problem or solution.

No, this latest allegation is the breaking point. At this point, we fans, the Browns, and the League have to ask ourselves when will this end. Will we get another alleged victim next year, and the year after that, and the year... Not to mention what he's being accused of is a major escalation of his (alleged) crimes. There's a very real chance it does not play out the same way it did in '21.

And not only is Watson an alleged awful human being, he has been one of the worst QBs we have seen. The 1st year, he was rusty. The 2nd year, he was injured. Now his dad and friend died. I have sympathy for the last point, but we're about 80 excuses and multiple seasons punted too far for me to give a damn.

Bench Watson. Let these legal matters play out. Hopefully void the contract. For our own self-interest.

Stefanski continues to get a pass. Hilarious!

I'm not sure why anyone expected Watson to come out like an all pro in game 1. He has always been a slow starter ...and now we have two midwits running the offense instead of one. It's going to take a few games to see where we are. Superbowl roster for 4 years. Stefanski untouchable because someone told you he was coach of the year ....twice!
Frustrated Larry Bird GIF by SB Nation

Because from a financial and asset standpoint, he is supposed to be an All-Pro. Watson had the worst QBR of any starting QB this past week. This includes Daniel Jones and Bryce Young. If Watson is a slow starter, he'll be long retired before we get to the middle.

Of course, in between now and then, I'm sure there will be (at least) a few more skeletons stepping out from his closet.

It's one game to be sure.

Watson is going to be the guy, unless they have an out on his contract. If they have that type of opportunity to let him go that is huge going forward. Without it the cost is significant. If they were to let him go the team likely is negatively impacted.

I hope Watson gets it together because it's the best path to success atm. I'm not confident at all.
