Browns - Joe Flacco | Page 12 | Barking Hard

Browns Joe Flacco

BM forced AB's hand on that to some extent. He requested a trade after he found out AB was looking into Watson during the combine that year.
I think we could've won with BM. All he had to do was quietly wait it out. He'd probably still be here.

We didn't offer that huge contract until after he said he wanted out.

Plan W: Flacco
Plan T: Matt Ryan
Plan F: run the ball, trick plays, punt on 3rd down

I wonder if Matt is considering un-retiring.
apparently he isn't in demand.
I figured Ryan and Flacco would always be compared but it never really happened. different conferences, rarely played each other.
fwiw they were drafted a few spots apart before 2008 season, both first rounders.

BM is who we thought he was. A 8-9 win QB. If that's your "Marvin Lewis" goal, then have at it. BTW, he doing well in a shit division. He'd get eaten alive playing in the AFCN. I'm happy for him, don't hate him, but I'm not about to fool myself into a "we should have kept him" narrative.
Well, Baker is cooking right now. For the season: 64.3% 26 TDs 8 Ints 3598 yards. On a team with no running game. Baker is a top ten NFL QB this season. And he's throwing the ball like his 2020 season again. In 2020, Baker was 62.8% 26 TDs 8 Ints 3563 yards.

Seems to me, Baker took a long time to get his arm strength and accuracy back after the injury, fucked him up good, mechanics wise.

He's gone and I don't blame Berry for swinging for the fences.

I've said since the trade for DW, Watson should be a big upgrade over Baker. But so far, there's no way to justify that.

Except for one quality half Watson has been complete garbage... That's not even meeting the contract in any way ,shape or form...

But that one half will keep the fan-boys happy. They will say, "Next season, he's going to be awesome." I wish they were right, but I have my doubts. If he struggles, they will say, "He just needs half a season to get it going." Dude better work and study and come in ready to play, but I have my doubts.

After this injury I expect him to be even worse... Flacco has come right in and blown him away every way imaginable... Fuck DW4... He's toast!

BM couldn’t survive in this conference
I tend to agree. It's too cold, the D's are too good, and he just tends to fold like a lawn chair when the pocket collapses. You either have to be big (like Ben and Joe), fast (like Watson and Lamar), and just have that it-factor, like Burrow.

Again, not hating on him, and will always fondly remember the year he helped us nail the Steelers twice in a row at the end of the year.
