Browns Joe Flacco

But that one half will keep the fan-boys happy. They will say, "Next season, he's going to be awesome." I wish they were right, but I have my doubts. If he struggles, they will say, "He just needs half a season to get it going." Dude better work and study and come in ready to play, but I have my doubts.
"You can either have excuses or succes. Not both."
Watson will one day leave Cleveland having done absofuckinglutely nothing.

I tend to agree. It's too cold, the D's are too good, and he just tends to fold like a lawn chair when the pocket collapses. You either have to be big (like Ben and Joe), fast (like Watson and Lamar), and just have that it-factor, like Burrow.

Again, not hating on him, and will always fondly remember the year he helped us nail the Steelers twice in a row at the end of the year.
Check me if I'm wrong, but that year was in the AFC North, right? He did survive and flourish. And it looked to me as if Watson has lost a step or two. In Houston, he was elusive as all get out and made plays by getting away from rushers and passing. This season, when he scrambled, he didn't run away from anyone and took a lot of hits where in the past he didn't. And I'm not hating on Watson, dude has been a great player wherever he's been, just not here, at least not yet.

I have to suspect most have watched very little of TB games beyond highlights. It's the same 2020 and 2021 Baker, but with Evans being Evans on battle for it balls
I'm a Baker fan and have watched at least 8 full TB games. And it's not Evans being Evens, Baker is throwing to everyone and seeing the field really well and making great throws, not just to Evans. So is Cooper being Cooper or is Joe also making some great throws too? Baker is not just throwing it up and letting Evans win. That shows me you're the one not watching the games.

So not the ATL game three weeks ago, the CAR game four weeks ago, the colts game, and other games earlier this year.

I did not mean it's all Evans. But a good amount of his TDs and splash players have been go get it Evans.

That Cooper/Flacco analogy unfortunately falls flat when you remember Evans has put up his numbers in his career with everyone who has thrown to him.

Baker is being 2020 Baker. He can manage a game, make some plays, and have a lot of wtf plays. I get it. The last couple of weeks his been hot. Seen it. Know what comes next. It's the Baker equivalent let Russ cook.

I would have agreed with you but as my closet baker fan son pointed out, the last few games he’s really spread the ball around!
A few weeks is a fraction of the body of work. Baker is going to Baker like he always does. Lit up GB D that all year has struggled, and talk of firing their DC. Then followed up with a good game against JAX who found all kinds of ways to lose that game.

The excitement over Baker this season is akin to this is the year Dallas will be a legit SB contender. The story always ends the same

Lamar has just over 3000 passing yards on the season
Joe has just over 1600 passing yards this month

@Martin Eden Mike Evans has 10 straight years of over 1K yards.

Look, Yeah, fuck yeah, Mike Evens is a hall of fame wr. Cooper may be. But that doesn't change the FACT that Baker is playing from the pocket as well as any other NFL QB. He's decisive and accurate as fuck right now. Does Evans help? Of course. Don't sell Baker short.

That said. . . How about that Joe Flacco!
