If the Browns are smart, they will manipulate the media some more, make everyone on earth believe both QBs are turning heads and are battling for the starting spot, and then fleece somebody for one of them.

It's just amazing at how many people I've seen angry at the Browns front office for passing on a player in the 1st round, or the second round. . . a player that they could have in the 5th round. And those people will continue to insist they know better than the professional football people. And they will never admit that Berry and crew at least kind of know what they're doing.
A few people, myself included, joked that we needed to take a few QBs until we got the position solidified. And the icing on the cake, with all of the QBs on the roster, my guess is that Watson will not see the field in a Browns uniform again.
Let's see how the competition plays out, might be exiting to watch.

If he's reasonably productive or if Pickett is reasonably productive, that is trade bait to get the QBOTF next year if needed. Two number ones and a decent NFL ready QB? Not a lot of teams would pass on that offer.

Teams will need to see it on the field. At least in preseason. They'll have to be the preseason darling like Josh Dobbs was a few seasons ago. Problem is, it's the Browns and they will trade the wrong guy.

Hopefully the fall and a mouthful of humble pie will have taught Dion to just let his son be a teammate and a player without him bringing the circus to town. .. and he has team of his own to coach.. and a little humble pie for Shedeur won’t hurt.. a chip on his shoulder .. all good things may result from his fall. Can he be a qb1??? Time will tell.
