The #29 pick is in -- David Njoku.

Yeah we added 3 solid players today, and just like this year, we OWN next year's draft. We also get to root against the Texans next year as we root for our Brownies.

Sorry y'all missed out on Trubisky but go talk to some Chicago fans, they are absolutely RAGING right now. While we just go and add 3 great players to our youngest roster in the NFL in addition to preparing ourselves to absolutely OWN the draft in 2018.

Great remains to be seen.. Don't anoint them , yet!

The point is Peppers can't cover. Can't cover slot, TE, etc

Show me some film of Peppers consistency sucking at coverage. Michigan DID NOT ASK HIM TO COVER THIS YEAR. They had good DBs set and a good front 7 stopping the run between the tackles, Peppers was tasked with stopping tosses, bubble screens, and other lateral plays. Not covering deep.

I don't care how many picks you have in 2018. If you don't have the #1 overall pick you aren't getting Darnold. You're getting Rosen (LMFAO).

However, good news, Browns fans!

After this 1st round in 2017, the Browns are in PRIME position to get the #1 overall pick in 2018.

And trade back for more garbage picks

I don't post often... but I have no problem with this draft. Good defense picks, a new quality guy on offense and we picked up a first round next year. What the fuck are you guys complaining about

We did not reach on a questionable QB year.......and its only the first round

Give me some damn talent, not projects.

Start looking to 2018, that's what this draft was for.
We had three picks in the first round.

Two were either the best prospect at their position or the second ranked. The other an athlete that i'll agree is a project.

2/3 aint bad my man.

post round 1 press conference not on youtube yet

Sashi and Hue like Jabrll a lot for Greg. a LOT
Very telling interview, so much for the suckas that fell for all the smoke. Loved the quote about Silver and how he doesn't draft for us or make decisions. All in all it was very reasonable and a few things could be assumed from the discussion. Firstly I think they liked Trubisky and Mahomes but were disciplined enough to not panic and let the chips fall.

whilst I would have been happy with a few of the qbs this year, I can't argue with their strategy - it was a rare sight of pure BPA with the future in mind. Shows DePodesta has a bigger influence than I once thought as emotion was clearly on the backburner when it came to selections in this round.

Would smash.

Still feel like it was a bad move... not on Njoku but in the fact the Browns gave away all leverage going into Friday and Saturday trading away #33 and 108. If they could have made the move with 52 and 65, would have been for it.

Some of us are underrating this pick. I am super excited about this pick only because of what it allows us to do from a scheme standpoint. Njoku gives them a NE double threat. Possibly a triple with Barnidge. This will allow a guy like Coleman to excel in the slot if Hue moves him. I think Coleman should at least take more plays in the slot. I also like this move as we can use DeValve in multiple sets. I really like DeValve flexed out and he has great hands. I think DeValve is a better WR than TE and I think this pick might point to that. As we bitched about the WR position and losing Pryor we transform it by stressing a defense a completely different from last year.

I liked OJ Howard better but Njoku fits the bill. He was the 2nd best TE IMO. He is probably better than any WR pick we could have made and does so much more from a scheme standpoint.

Yeah totally wouldn't mind just running 2 TE sets to mask our "perceived" WR weakness (they were all rookies playing with 5 QBs y'all that has to count for something). Watchin Peppers and Ndjoku all day
