The latest FA news

A little nugget about CB Carr and some info I didn't know about Joe Haden:

"Over past two seasons, new Cowboys CB Brandon Carr has knocked down 28 passes, second in the NFL, behind only Joe Haden and his 30."

Wow, talk about not going crazy, we really aren't doing anything. The only guy we REALLY could have used got signed and that's Winston. Don't know what happened there. Did we even call the guy?

Nobody will ever know who they are calling and who they aren't. That Said, I think Frostie Rucker is a nice sign for the Browns. He's more then just a stop gap. He's not a premier pass rusher but he is a solid rusher and good against the run.

I think that is the most important part. Maybe we get some solid OLB's in the draft and you might see our rushing defense improve.

Former Browns RB Peyton Hillis signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Chiefs.

And the numbers on Richard Marshall are in: Marshall will sign a three-year, $16 million deal, including $6 million guaranteed w/Miami.

RB Le'Ron McClain agreed to terms on a 3-year deal with the SD Chargers.

Jacksonville reached agreement with former Dallas free-agent wide receiver Laurent Robinson on a five-year, $32.5 million deal.

Cardinals officially agreed to terms with free agent guard/tackle Adam Snyder.

BROWNS release G Eric Steinbach.

Mario Williams got a monster deal in Buffalo: six years, up to $100 million, including $50 million guaranteed.

He signed for less than many thought he would to go someplace where the weather is possibly even worse than Cleveland's. He sure would have looked good in a Browns uni lining up across from Sheard for the next few years.

Hadnot is loose (for the moment)

Cardinals cut Hadnot

The Arizona Cardinals have quietly released veteran offensive lineman Rex Hadnot.
Hadnot, 30 was cut primarily for salary-cap purposes as he carried a $2.65 million salary-cap figure and was scheduled to make a $1.5 million base salary.
The Cardinals have interest in bringing him back, though. The 6-foot-2, 310-pounder started every game last season for the Cardinals. He's also expected to draw interest from other NFL teams looking for a versatile interior lineman.
He has previous stints with the Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins and has started 93 of 114 career games.

Great runblocker, but sloppy feet movement and lousy pass protection, gets turned too easily.
