NFL Draft The number 2 overall pick

Supposedly, the Giants have offered two 3rds and their 3rd overall pick, to move up to #1.

Not sure how reliable the info is, but it's a reasonable enough guess. Seems in the ballpark. The mock draft generators almost always accept our 2nd over all and one 3rd rounder (and it's even the Amari acquired Bills' pick) for the Browns to move up to number 1.

If seems like the only way we move up to #1 is if we like one QB, and the Titans either don't like either QB (and are going to take Carter or Hunter), or are ok with both.

If I'm the Titans and I don't like/want a QB, I trade with the Browns for an extra third, then again with the Giants for an extra third, and then draft Carter with the 3rd overall selection.

BTW, if I'm AB, and I'm at all concerned about my job, then I trade picks in the 2026 draft. Usually, that means a round higher. So, the offer to the Titans could be our 2025 2nd overall, and our 2026 2nd rounder. If he does that, he better be damn sure Ward, or Sanders, is strongly preferred over the other one.

In @McShay13 latest mock draft he has the #Browns taking Travis Hunter at #2 overall and trading up to #15 for Shedeur Sander giving up 33, 67 and a 2026 2nd round pick.

“I’m not putting out a mock with my name on it without some information. It would be really easy for me to go Mike green at 15 and Tyler Shough or Milroe at 33. I didn’t. I will never reveal sources, not saying this is what will happen, but if you’re a Cleveland fan start thinking with this mindset”

Why would a team give up their middle of the 1st round pick for two 2nd round picks and a third?

Not a chance in hell of happening if you ask me. That requires them to pass on multiple highly talented players for a couple of chances at less talented players.

Then again is that Jets GM still employed in the league?

Great teams are made of solid 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks - great players on cheap rookie contracts. Multiple 2nds and 3rds are golden.
