It's one of the knocks on him. Extremely fragile for a kicker. I mean, ya just ran down the field. Once.Did Hopkins shred his hamstring?
And idiot for doing so!!!It's one of the knocks on him. Extremely fragile for a kicker. I mean, ya just ran down the field. Once.
Yup, history of hamstring and groin injuries. He got this one trying to make a tackle on the KO returned for a TD in the HOU gameIt's one of the knocks on him. Extremely fragile for a kicker. I mean, ya just ran down the field. Once.

He was just doing his job. 10 other guys not doing Their primary job.Yup, history of hamstring and groin injuries. He got this one trying to make a tackle on the KO returned for a TD in the HOU game
I know you can’t take competitiveness out of an athlete but his job is to kick field goals. Not tackle! He was just doing his job.
But if he didn't hustle ... people would ???????????I know you can’t take competitiveness out of an athlete but his job is to kick field goals. Not tackle!
His absence hurts a million times more than those 6 points!
That’s not a him problem, he’s more important to the team to tackle! But if he didn't hustle ... people would
I kind of feel for K or P in those situations. They make no effort, probably feel like it's letting the team down (don't know what the coaches say in film review). Likely mocked on TV for the no effort. So they go try, then quickly find out they can't do that. I personally subscribe to the the theory that the most they can/should do is get in the way in the hopes of slowing down the returner so someone else can make the tackle. Same for a QB when they throw a pick. And an idiot for doing so!!
I wasn't trying to knock how he got the injury. Just noting when/where it occurred. He was just doing his job. 10 other guys not doing Their primary job.
he's missed some games but not that bad imo

Right, not tackle or chase anyone down!I personally subscribe to the the theory that the most they can/should do is get in the way in the hopes of slowing down the returner so someone else can make the tackle. Same for a QB when they throw a pick.
Yup. I don't think it's a good idea for a K, P, or QB to do either of those. Rarely anything good comes out of it for the K, P, or QB. Good old Dawson tried it once. Learned his lesson.Right, not tackle or chase anyone down!
