Welcome JAX! That's why most of us came here.

I was just in Jacksonville last week. The Browns play there this year....in fact, 3 away games in Florida this year (Miami, Jax & Tampa).

I went to the game in Jacksonville 2 years ago and had a great time! Seemed like at least 1/3 of the fans were cheering on the Browns!

I'm going to the game in Jax again this year and probably at least one of the other two in Florida, will need to work out the logistics once the schedule comes out.

I shared your pain over that. It was definitely frustrating they could mess up something so important. I don't think anyone was happy about it.

However, that doesn't mean we give people with lousy aim the right to throw bottles in the stands. They were putting more fans in danger than the officials they were too drunk to hit from their seats. You have to remember there's still people that want to bring their kids to these games the way our parents brought us to games. I guess the parallel I can think of is when someone is driving like a knucklehead on the road - that doesn't give a person with anger management issues the right to road rage and putting other innocent drivers in danger.

I'd prefer us to be known as a passionate fanbase that DESERVES to have it's team back. The rest of the day, all the post game shows concentrated more on bashing the Cleveland fans than the officials or play in question. I'd like to think we're a little more evolved than Philly fan where they actually had a jail under their stadium (and rightfully so).

Since I live here I can attest to the fact that Philly fans are the worst fans bar none in all of professional sports.I can remember back in the seventies how brutal it was between Cleveland and Stooller country to the point where cars were vandalized with out of state plates at old muni.
Multiply that by an entire season and thats what you have with Philly fans every year,drunken idiots,
I don't want to deal with that and spend serious money to watch a game so I wont go and it is true that things got so out of hand a few seasons back they had a night court type of set up in the stadium itself to try and curb the trouble and that was even after they stopped serving beer at halftime and they locked up so many people it became a permanent fixture in the old Veterans stadium,I don't know if it carried over to the new field but these fans are pretty pathetic.
Cleveland fans have been labeled as most knowledgeable and passionate,that other tag is one I hope we don't aspire too.
