I think a lot in the media and other fanbases, and yes I think even a small percentage of our own fans, regardless how ridiculous that may be, want Watson to fail because of all this. He might or he might not, but damn just let's see what this season brings.

Well. . . I must admit I thought the rust would come off much faster last season. 6 games should have been more than enough. No excuses this season. No one in the league has more to prove (or re-prove) than Watson. His life history indicates he'll bounce back strong. I sure hope so. But I don't want to hear any excuses. If Watson fails, it won't be Stefanski's fault.

No one on this team has any excuses anymore.
If they dont win at least a playoff game they should consider the season a failure.
You #1 ovr picks are in their prime. Your draft picks you stocked up and tanked for are used, your QB and supporting cast are in place.
It's time to win.

You can't possibly know that. As I have stated for years, it was hard to judge Stefanski due to the piss poor QB we used to employ, however his red zone management has been suspect at best. If he can't succeed with Watson, he is toast. And by succeed I mean a deep playoff run, not sniffing them and getting close, or getting trounced in the first game. This offense better look completely new.

Watson has to make plays in the red zone. No matter what play is called. No matter who calls the play. If the old Watson is back, we will be hard to beat. Very much of our success depends on it. "But Stefanski!", is not a valid excuse.

We didn't give Baker any excuses.. Don't give Mr.Peepee a free pass just because some peeps have a hard on for him...
 
We've seen Watson make some outstanding plays in the pre-season and I have no reason to believe he can't continue to do the same in the regular season since he was a top 5 QB a couple years ago.

Still, we have to see it in the regular season starting game 1. If he doesn't even get the opportunities, it's on KS. If he gets the opportunities and blows it, it's on him.
 
So, after week 2, before MNF, Watson's PFF grade is 14th out of 37 QB's, above Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.

Let's see how this goes tonight. He's still yet to have "that game", whereby he announces to the world he's back. We'd all be pretty delighted if tonight's the night, on national TV.

Well he better show something because frankly... I'm tired of the excuses...
 
Not to mention too many times he just didn't throw the ball and tried to run.

You know they're coming so you have to get rid of it quickly. If you're not reading the defense properly or your WR's are not on the same page as you, get on the same page. Fix it!

If KS is calling long balls tell him there isn't enough time for the long ball.

To be fair the Int was on Harrison Bryant. That was one of the many drops. Hell that one play was the difference in the win.

I would of kept my 250 million guaranteed
I would of kept my 3 first round draft pics
I would of kept the guy who played injured who embraced Cleveland, took us to the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh who is 2-0 over a guy that couldn’t out play Kenny Pickett. At least Jacoby Brisset stood in the pocket and made throws!!
Baker was invested in the City and in you!
This guy initially “turned you down” it took 250 million, Its called Karma (27)
 
BM was invested until he found out at the combine that AB was looking into acquiring Watson and then he demanded to be traded. He was all in until that point. And when the league found out he on the block the FO wasn't getting fair offers. That forced AB's hand to give all that money to Watson because for awhile there we didn't have a starting QB.

That's pretty much how everyone in Berea spun it anyway. Who knows the exact truth?

All that said I though we could win with BM for all his faults, unable to see all the WR's, errant throws and not a runner, he was hanging around top 5-10 for minute. And when he's hot he's on fire.
