Browns Deshaun Watson - Football Talk

People I know with similar injuries say he will be dealing with this all season and will likely have surgery in the off-season. That's not what the Browns are saying of course. They say it's literally impossible to play with the injury, because it can feel fine one second and all the way back to as if it was just injured the next. It's not a pain thing. You just can't use the arm. Hope they are wrong.

Meaning, although the clips look like just normal throws, but in person, he looked sharp?
That's how I was interpreting everything yesterday on X.

Grossi just compared Watson to a 99 mph pitcher. If a healthy Watson typically throws it 99 mph then he was throwing 90 mph.

Not full go but we don't know if he has enough to be good. (Paraphrasing) He later added "He just doesn't have his fastball".

Here's the 92.3 theFan spot with MKC:

Insiders saying their source says there's only a "small chance" Watson plays this Sunday. If that's true, I'm hoping PJ is getting most of the starter reps for the non-media portion of practice (which is of course, the lion's share of the practice, so who knows what's happening with the first team).

This whole saga is turning into an embarrassing side show circus.. thank you AB and DeShame...

It is for the media and I understand you don't like him but the injury is real.
I don't care if its real or not... It's the way they're handling the whole situation... Like a bunch of dumb ass kids trying to hide something... Quit trying to insult every ones intelligence and come clean or put Deshame on IR where he belongs...

It's simple. They initially coach speaked it the media poorly. Now it's been a bit more of a story in the media (mainly local) because of it. But let's not kid ourselves, an injured starting quality QB is a story and still would be. Even more so with the trade, contract, and suspension
