Decent article by Pluto about being "medically cleared" vs "performance cleared".
If we want to believe our QB1, here's what makes the most sense to me.
1. He's always been able to play through injuries, and he thought he could through this one too, but ...
2. Kosar says he's had this, and "you swear you'll be fine ... it doesn't really hurt", but the velo isn't there, and ...
3. Kevin probably believed the MRI, and what Watson was saying. Makes sense to do so. But this is a sneaky injury.
A lot of the twitter idiots want to yell about the Browns not being transparent etc. But there are some problems in medicine that are darn hard to predict the healing window. Personally, I don't see where the Browns communication about this injury was muffed at any point. It's just the nature of some injuries. I'm sure they would have handled it differently in hindsight, maybe saying "look, this is a tricky thing, and we just don't know", but they also had Watson telling players and media he'd be good to go darn near right away.
Deshaun Watson is starting Sunday. Why have there been conflicting reports about him?
