Quite honestly, If Joe's on the roster next season, Watson might not be starting all the time.
It depends on Watson's injuries. The QB picture could be very intriguing in 2024.
A QB rotation of Watson, Flacco and , DTR would give Kevin a lot of possibilities.
DTR would likely end up with the mop up duty during garbage time. But, he still needs the experience.
Fun to speculate.
 
I don't want to miss in the cheerios, but if Flacco keeps playing like this keeping him won't be about money. It will be about opportunities to start for a team which needs a bridge starter. If Flacco priority is playing he'd likely go elsewhere next year

That's why it's so Important to offer him a deal NOW. after sitting around the house for months etc

He isn't going to sign a deal now. Nor should he. If he thinks he can and wants to still have an opportunity to start in the league then he should be betting on himself to keep playing well and see what opportunities are available after the season.
