Browns Deshaun Watson - Football Talk

Punished by the league for being accused?
The world has gone mental.

"Why am I being punished?"
"Lady there said you did something"
"I didnt"
"But she certainly says you did"
"..its a long story, but what she says is incorrect"
"Well... have you seen the people with pitchforks on the marketplace lately?"
"Eh ... Yes... "
"Anywho, being accused is against the rules in my town, and I am the sheriff around here.
One hand chopped of at dawn tomorrow, it is!"

Guilty until proven innocent because #BelieveWomen ... I mean, it's all the way down to massages...

Rags,

I can see from several of your posts on this ordeal that it really has you upset.

I idolized Jim Brown, as many of us older fans did. He was a god in our house and neighborhood. When he started having women issues and then when he was indicted for rape, I lost some of my zest for him. It was weird because he was our hero, but now he was doing things that my Father always told me a man shouldn't do.

I absolutely understand your passion and anger over Watson's actions, or alleged actions. I respect your character and your feelings and will throw out that for sure society has become desensitized to this class of events. Several things come into play.
  • We are busy and just want to have a SB team
  • We see a lot of false accusations
  • We see a discrepancy in who gets punished and who gets away
  • Since many accusers take money and then disappear, it jades the entire deal
I have to say that my own reaction in these matters is like many, inconsistent. For sure when someone we don't like is accused, we want to see him burn in hell. On the other hand, if the accusations are about someone we like, then we dismiss them.

I am in the camp of hypocrisy bro, for some reason I am not upset with the Watson show. Don't ask me to tell you why, but I am no huge fan one way of another, I am just not upset by this particular ordeal. Again, I am not saying I am not upset that he abused 22 woman, what I am saying is that the entire story is not turning on the gas for me. Go figure.
Bro, I just have zero tolerance for the shit. None. I've looked at the evidence presented and all the factors and there is no possible way to brush off two dozen women, several that aren't even part of any lawsuits concocting some elaborate several year scheme to fuck over this moron. It is fantasy thinking by his fanboys.

He did what he did. He should be banned from the NFL indefinitely. Unfortunately in contemporary America we hold certain demographics in America we hold certain people on a pedestal. The more heinous and disgusting the crime the bigger hero they become.

Count me out on that one.

I respect this 100%

I dont think anyone is pro-rape.

The point is that we cant be the judge of the matter. Thats on the legal system.

"He should be banned"
Based on what? Accusations?
I think that is a terrible idea.

What if DW pays off all these women? At this point he has no criminal charges and the civil suit is dropped. How can the NFL ban a guy who never even went to trial? Even if he was guilty of each and every incident, but they drop their charges and STFU about it, he is still a free man.

All anyone really knows is he was accused of these things and was never found guilty. No different than if all of us here charged iMogwai85 with felonious BS. It's still a bunch of nothing other than public opinion.

There are three court systems in America

  • Criminal Court
  • Civil Court
  • The Court of Public Opinion
It will always remain a universal frustration that a judgement in any one of these courts will seldom bring with it a universal agreement that justice was served. Many still believe OJ is a murderer, for example.

Rags stands on a black-and-white foundation of behavior. He believes that 22 accusers is enough of an indication that Watson is a sexual deviant. There is a lot of substance to his position for if women just decided to make these en'-masse accusations, you would think there would be a hell of a lot more of these things. Also, in the defense of the women, while I can see room for some gold diggers, going through this kind of a legal process, knowing you may be left looking like a liar and a whore is not something many would do casually.

In your case, you stand on a black-and-white foundation of our system of law. That to is a position of substance and certainly fairness. You believe men are naturally innocent and must be treated that way until proved otherwise. You believe and accept due process for all.

I believe that Watson pulled some cock antics. I think some of the women are indeed full of shit, but 22 (is it 22?) women coming forward makes me think some of the women are telling the truth. The bolder girls just poo-poo'd it off, but once one came forward, others followed.

My own judgement in this is fuzzy, maybe even hypocritical but I just don't think highly of public figures. To me, athletes, entertainers and politicians are scum. The women that engage them get what they get. If Watson swirled his dick at my wife, my wife would have kicked him in the nuts and told him to get the fuck out. I think we all know "don't fuck with me asshole" type of women. Like it or not, this makes us less likely to believe the accusers.

The takeaway for me is that once again the Browns have put themselves into a position where important team issues have not been resolved. Like it or not, we have two potential QB fuckswamps. Like it or not, there is still a pathway where Baker Mayfield could be the 2022 starting QB of the Cleveland Browns.

Good management? I don't know, and really it will only be luck that determines this.

This is not good management to me in any way, shape or form.

However, Baker forced the FO to do this by publicly requesting a trade after the FO told him they were going to look into getting Watson and before AB settled the matter. Baker forced the Browns to offer a mega deal because if they didn't get Watson we were looking at a second rate QB and no serious QB option in the draft. And all that is without even considering Watson's legal issues. WTF was AB supposed to do? Let him walk and sign an over priced FA in Garoppolo? That sucks.

I am also sure he swung his cock around here and there.
But I will not be the judge and I dont have proof, so I cant judge the guy. Therefore I wont.

This day and age, the internet has become a place of judgement, where the loudest voice and dominant opinion are the victor.
I wont be part of it, because we are easily manipulated and our brains are just too primitive to always make the right conclusion.
See the Depp vs Heard case.

Jay, I suppose in an ideal world, Browns management would have never let the tension with Mayfield et. al. get to the point that it did.

But, we don't know. Did Mayfield go to Haslam and override ShitMyPantski? What ither kind of shit could have happened that we know nothing about? Do I think that you, me and a few more of we jackoffs could do a better job than the Browns FO? It's probably 50/50. I think the only difference between those guys and us, is that they convinced someone they knew wtf they were doing.

Our best scenario is that Watson plays all 17 games and rocks. Any scenario that has Mayfield in it makes me want to puke. I have come to hate this fucking guy.

I am with you 100%. It goes with the territory that we talk about this shit, but our media is as fucking crooked as our government.

Morally speaking, I hope the guy is innocent. Legally speaking, if there is no criminal case against him, no proof, other than 22 cunts accusing him, then too bad, leave the guy alone already.

I have done enough fucked up shit in my life not to step a foot forward and grab the bullhorn. ENough of this fucking cancel culture already. Fuck, this world has become idiotic and perverted.

The evidence has been brought before what, 2 or 3 grand juries, and they did not indict him.

I'm no lawyer but from what I've researched, grand juries are supposed to be slam dunks. I don't think Watson will face any legal trouble at this point. I think he will be suspended at some point. When? That remains to be seen.

How fucked up will it be that the only reason he will be suspended is because the fear of feminist cunts protesting.

My wife also thinks these women are a bunch of dumb cunts. Seriously, shoe would have kicked a guy in the nuts if he did shit like that.

Where do you find 22 cunts who ALL are too afraid to come forward, and who don't say jack shit when this happened? Sorry, but I have no respect for these women. Sorry for the cunt, if anyone is offended, but it is what it is.

Just saw this morning Watson's attorney's requested medical records also to include mental health seeing as these victims all have similar allegations of trauma. Apparently many of these victims have not complied or refused to prove their mental trauma was confirmed by a doctor. Hopefully for them it was confirmed by a doctor before talking to Buzbee and before their written statements. Otherwise they're fucked. 😬

Partially true. I do not believe 22 women all just decided to charge the same person with rape, no. But I am looking at far more than just that.

- There are text messages of them discussing his behavior after massages and wondering what can be done. The consensus was he is a star athlete for the local team and it will be swept under the rug. They felt compelled to come forward once he burnt that bridge.

- We have a partial admission, with Watson admitting he had sex with them "but bruh, dat shit wuz all consensual an shit bruh. Dem bitches be axing fo' muh dick."

That doesn't fly with me, like it does for so many others. Every rapist and sexual deviant pulls that excuse out once caught. They all do.

- We have three others who ce forward, who aren't part of any lawsuits or anything else who stated he has an entitled mentality and forces himself on massage therapists.

- This mentally retarded fucking ghetto clown also trotted out 20 more massage therapists to state that he's a good boy and he dindu nuffin wrong.

Taking all that into account, he is definitely guilty of soliciting women for sex, which is illegal and there is enough evidence that he did in fact sexually assault these women as claimed. The fact that two grand jury's felt intimidated to bring a case forward due to our current climate in America of terrorist hate groups looting and burning down cities anytime a member of the Privileged Class is charged with a crime doesn't magically make the evidence go away.

No matter how much his fanclub wishes it did.

All 22 women should have testified in the Grand Jury proceedings. It doesn't matter how many text messages were exchanged if they all gave him multiple massages after their alleged trauma.

If they felt they were traumatized there typically would be a medical record stating as much.

If there were medical records at the Grand Jury hearing he would have been indicted on criminal charges. He was not because there was a lack of evidence no matter what any consensus thinks.

Buzbee representing all 22 victims is the shadiest consensus surrounding the whole thing. If one of these shoes had legitimate personal concerns, they should've retained their own lawyer to work solely for them.

Buzbee is a well known sleezeball lawyer.
Watson's council by comparison is a well established powerhouse attorney. He wins.

Often in this country, the better lawyer wins, especially when there is no true incriminating evidence.

That's the diff, thus far, between Watson and others like Ray Rice (video), Kareem Hunt (video), Joe Mixon (video) and if you want to jump sports, Trevor Bauer (photos).

One of the 22 claimed PTSD because he didn't cover himself enough when turning over, so she saw his buttocks and genitals. Give me a break.

However, the level of evidence required for a criminal case is much stricter than it is for a civil case.

Yah to me it couldn't be more obvious these hoes are just that.

It's all politics and being promised an easy payday. They were assured he would settle.

The #metoo and #believeallwomen movement are all over this case.

And despite the fact that the U.S. legal system is heavily biased against men, two grand juries saw right through it and dismissed what would normally be considered a prosecutorial layup. The grift was obvious to everyone.

Stick your guns Mr. Watson and win one for the good guys.

There are no rape charges and never has been any rape charges.

Grand jury's don't get 'intimidated' by cases like this. And in this environment, this type of case is the easiest case to indict and get a conviction. The problem is that nothing illegal ever happened.

We have the owner's neighbor and fellow country club buddy who went out and found women after Watson requested a trade...and tried to claim he never met the owner of the Texans and didn't know him. You have an owner who multiple playes (Clowney, Hopkins, Watson, etc...) said was racist and treated them like they lived on a plantation and requested out. We have women who tried to extort Watson before filing the civil lawsuit. We have a profession who is known for rub and tugs and soliciting sex. We have a grand jury who has said nothing illegal happened. At some point you have to see this for what it is...and white racist owner who got mad his star player wanted out and decided his only recourse was to ruin his reputation and destroy him at any cost. Welcome to a Southern, billionaire, white racists mind.
