Browns - Myles Garrett demands to be traded. | Page 6 | Barking Hard

Browns Myles Garrett demands to be traded.

And that's what people will focus on, which if Myles gets traded, is good for us. Everyone will say "see, D lines win championships".
Of course in Cleveland, we're just trying to get to the playoffs, and need a QB to move that needle.

I read an article today that said the Browns should make whoever trades for Garrett take Watson too.

Garrett and Watson for ....
That would be ideal but, unfortunately, he has a no-trade clause from 2024-2026.

Plus, it would probably be damn near impossible to offload that contract even if he could get traded. I'm not a cap wizard or guru, going off what I'm seeing on Spotrac.

I mean packaging Garrett with Watson in theory would be great if this was the NBA. We'd get off the worst contract in history, and move on from Garrett right as he hits 30 for at least a decent package of picks.

In reality it would destroy the locker room and immediately put us into rebuild. Already, Ward is chirping and will probably try to force his way out. I could see Njoku demanding a trade as well. JOK, if he returns, may also not to be keen on losing efforts.

To rebuild wouldn't you had to built something first ?
rebuilding in sports is just another way of saying we don't know WTF we are doing here.

Yep. There's an element of "we're done trying for now", and " we need to buy ourselves some time" to the rebuild.

The only rebuilds that work is when they include a top-10 QB. Otherwise, pfffft.

I still say it wasn't skill that allowed the Bengals to be so bad (at the right time), that they had the #1 overall pick when Carson Palmer and Joe Burrow were the clear #1 draft picks.
And I still say it wasn't skill that caused Green Bay to right the ship on an arrogant and Vicodin addicted Favre, then catch a draft-sliding Rodgers, and luck into Love (although they get some credit for swinging at QB in the first round, with Rodgers at their QB1. They at least understand not having a QB is a non-starter).
And again, the Patriots have a 100% history of mediocrity and losing, but they stumbled on to a 6th round GOAT. Otherwise, they're a joke, and no, Kraft shouldn't get credit as a helluva an owner because of TB12 in the 6th.

- a locker room that went 3-14
- "a rebuild" eh ... yeah, we ARE. We went 3-14.
You cant make an omelet without breaking some eggs.
