The pre snap penalties in particular point to a lack of focus, that points to the staff.

However, this team will have a helluva party fund to dive into at the end of the season.

Also, while Stefanski is not out there throwing picks, he is choosing who is out there throwing picks. He is choosing to allow a QB with a propensity to throw picks to pass the ball 40+ times per game.

Decisions have consequences.

Penalties ...same old same old.

This blind loyalty by the front office to Stefanski has cost us beyond measure. And I do mean blind.
 
I don't think he's all that special of a HC. Except that he went to a SB with Cowher's players but since then he's like Bickerstaff. Wins a bunch in the season and not much after.

Those HC's are a dime a dozen.
 
The only way Stefanski gets fired is if he was the driving factor in the Watson trade. I don't think there's an NFL coach who wins with this team given the Watson fiasco. Stefanski was great last year at keeping the team playing hard and winning without a decent QB. This year, without a top 5 QB (who we thought we were getting in Watson), this team wasn't going anywhere, no matter who the coach.

You guys would be singing a different story is shitty Cleveland Watson had been fantastic Houston Watson this season. Clearly, with Winston at QB (sans the ints), players are open and Stefanski's offense works.

Do I think Stefanski is a great coach -- No. But he's the best coach we've had in a very long time.

But I can't think of a great coach that would be willing to take this job.
 
Stefanski is a bum. All the revisionist history in the world will not convince those who actually witnessed it. Last season Stefanski had lost the locker room by week 4. Schwartz and the defense stepped up and had a meeting ...and proceeded to break records while rallying the rest of the team and carrying it on their shoulders. We would have been a 4 win team last season if it were up to Stefanski, his offense, and his "leadership" abilities.

He was coach of the year. You are delusional when it comes to Stefanski. I don't love the guy. But we had a hell of a season last year with by far the weakest QB room in the NFL. Blame that on Stefanski if you want, but the truth is that when he has a decent and healthy QB, we win.
