I mean... why not. We're not going to be good next season. We either start a rookie or a placeholder. Jimmy G would be as decent a placeholder as we can get. Honestly, I might go with Dalton and hope we lose 15 games and get the #1 pick next year. Next season will be easier as we have no expectations of greatness
 
Drafting a QB based on Stefanski's offense is about the dumbest thing we could do. You draft that high based on talent alone, you don't discount flaws because he fits your system. Have you seen our schedule next season? If Stefanski isn't fired by or at the end of year 6, I'll eat my hat.

Jimmy G just wins, and gets injured. Why not? Sign Flacco as his backup.

Quite frankly, we need to tank next season ...so I hope Stefanski doesn't manage to win 5+ games. Unless somehow we hit on the QB via this draft, which doesn't seem likely.
 
I don't think McCord has a strong enough arm to be a franchise QB. Every year around this time, the pundits start pumping up fringe QBs. If the Browns think McCord is the man, go for it. He has a quick release and throws guys open. Good size but not athletic. I'll support whoever they choose. Too bad it's such a hard choice because there's no clear-cut favorite.

I am not a must have McCord or Howard guy. It's Cam Ward or Sanders and I'd rather have Ward. I'm just not all in on those two with the #2 pick.
It's a shitty spot to be in when the draft class is average. Especially the QB class.
 
There's a thought out there that the new NFL QB has to have some extra, in addition to being a great QB. Mahommes, Allen, Lamar, Daniels etc etc. Unless you hit on Tom Brady, you need a QB with the extra.

Mainly, he has to have some degree of legs, and have the 6th sense on when to use them.
 
Don't believe everything you read. More revisionist history. Baker is a franchise QB and we fucked up. Period. All the bullshit is just excuses. With Baker at QB this season, we win the division and we're not talking about retread QBs..
