lol Baker Mayfield is not a franchise QB. He's a high end bridge or journeyman.
As far as Will Howard. He has improved throughout the season. Still don't like his arm. Always late and short on deep balls. Maybe it's something that can be fixed.

I don't think anyone disagrees. Baker is who he has always been. A guy who can get you to the first round of the playoffs when you are in the worst division in football.

We were in the worst division in football when Baker took us to the playoffs? He's a top 10 NFL QB this year and last. And this is his first year to lose in the first round, to a red-hot Washington team to boot. You continue to be wrong about everything Baker Mayfield. I would love to have a QB on the Browns that took us to the playoffs consistently.

I'd certainly rather have Baker than what we have now. But we wouldn't be any closer to the Superbowl than we were with Joe Flacco. The truth hurts. (you specifically)

Superbowl? For fucks sake, we have to become a consistently good team first. Build a culture of winning. But I guess you can go the Washington way and just suck until you find a stud like Jayden Daniels. I prefer to build a good team and hope for a stud QB. I guess you're a Super Bowl or bust guy. I'm a I want a winning team guy. Baby steps. I guess that's why you were all in on the Watson trade and I was 100% against it from the start.

We already had the baby steps. Maybe you weren't around for them ...but we had them. This is year 6 of the Browns closing Superbowl window, and the people in charge of the organization disagree with you. The good team already exists. All we need is a good coach and things will fall in place. Plenty of capable QBs out there that can be had, that can guide a world class defense and a competent offense to a superbowl.
I'd rather have a franchise QB, yes. But I'm not sure that guy exists in this draft. And the HC on our team is 1000% not the guy I want developing our young stud, while the GM chose Jedrick Wills as our LT of the future.They can't handle it, that much has already been borne out.

Our Super Bowl window closed when we dumped Baker and went all in on Watson. Wake the fuck up. We have to start all over. And it begins by finding another competent QB. Yeah, we have some pieces in place. But I'm afraid the O-Line is going to have to be rebuilt. And we need the old Chubb or someone to replace him. We had all the pieces in place and we fucked it all up. The coach is the least of our problems.
