Browns The 2025 hunt for a QB

Finally. It takes NY radio to say the obviously, blatantly correct thing. Insane level of common sense.

To add to that tweet,
No, we don't HAVE to replace Myles.
Yes, we need a QB.
The most important position on the team, is our worst position and biggest need.
And waiting around for the guaranteed generational QB is the equivalent to Unicorn searching or Snipe hunting.
Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell were more highly regarded. Shows you what the draftniks know.

Just take the QB. Don't over think it.

Adam Schefter has come out and said he is very confident the Browns will draft a QB at 2. A sign that disaster will be averted and we can move on from the Watson nonsense.

IDGAF which QB it is. Just take a QB. If we swing and miss, take one in 2026. And again in 2027. And again in 2028. Keep taking hacks.
I agree with this, but the problem is we all know it won't happen. If they draft Sanders or Ward, even if they look trash, they won't be drafting a stud QB in round 1 of the 2026 draft. They will want to "give him time". He "needs at least 3 years". We were told Baker needed 5. We use our ammo on a QB this year, he is the guy.

Mr. TBPP. I think we can agree we should have given Baker more time. Tampa Bay is thanking us. But we fortunately have another chance with Sanders or Ward.

Baker Mayfield should have never left Cleveland. And he's proved that in Tampa.
a) had he not been jettison twice he may have never matured.
b) still looked bad in Car
c) his play to play performance still has many of the same issues he had in CLE

If you truly believe his numbers in TB, which includes playing in what might be the worst division in the NFL are reflective of his actual play I would like to extend an offer of sea side real-estate in AZ

Baker's last year is all you can use to judge, if the Browns should, or should not have, signed him, to a whopping QB1, #1 overall draft pick, money.
He's more mature now.

Back then, he had his worst statistical year, in a contract year, not good.
In December, he played Halo for 10 hours per day for 4 days in a row while being out for testing positive for (asymptomatic) Covid, then proceeded to throw 4 INT's in the following game, on Christmas Day vs the Packers. Way to go Bake.

It's over any way.

Baker beat Detroit and Philly and Washington last season. Explain how that relates to playing in the NFC South?

Same old bullshit. Baker might not have been the franchise QB he is today because blah blah blah. He is a franchise QB. And he would be on whichever team he played for.

If "franchise" QB means good enough to go to the playoffs..... trailer not a tractor

When and where you beat teams also matters. Also TB won games against those teams. Baker didn't "beat" those teams

So you're in the camp who thinks we don't even fucking need a QB unless it's one of the 5 best in the NFL. Dump Baker because he didn't take us to a Super Bowl in 4 years with 4 offensive coordinators and 3 HCs. Baker's gone. I know it. But stop with the bullshit. However you paint it... the Browns fucked it up with Baker Mayfield.

And we the fans are going to pay for it for at least 2 more years. Unless Sanders or Ward plays like Daniels. Really, if you want to swing for the fence and draft a guy who could be THE guy, you go with Ward. He has a better chance of being better than Baker. Sanders' ceiling is somewhere around Baker. I think we can all agree Sanders' arm is not in Baker's league. But that's pretty damn good and better than anything we have now. I'm still fine either way.
