Browns The 2025 hunt for a QB

He's a professional QB -- we could use one. If Stefanski can't move the ball with Kirk at QB, then we know he's not the offensive mind he gets credit for.
Completely agree. I'll only add I think we'll need to add another veteran in case Cousins is really washed. Maybe bring back Jacoby Brissett. He doesn't sound happy in New England. A lineup of Cousins/Brissett/Beck is worlds better than what we've opened with the last 3 years.

I hate to break it to some of you but the best answer is for Watson to play well next year. It sucks but it is the most direct way to fix this teams QB problem and I'm not arguing for Watson. Just looking at it subjectively.

Not opposed to Cousins, but I won't go as far the no excuse to succeed part. I'm not sold its just the Achilles recovey as the issue with him. He's looked like he don't want to get hit and is seeing ghosts.

So a stat where last game they didn't have him throw on first down for the entire first half. That's saying you have no confidence in your QB. Then first down play in the second half first pass a pick.

I think everyone knows that. Most everyone has also lost hope of it happening. Somehow, I can't see rich-ass Watson working his butt off to get back and prove his contract was worth it. But one can dream.

Jimmy has a close relationship with the Mannings... My bet is Haslam tanks this year and next to be in line to draft Archie Manning...
Arch won't be there. He's starting 2 years for Texas -- bank it. Can't wait for Friday night. I'll be there for my horns against Clemson. Though I wish Arch were starting. I understand Sark not wanting to bench Ewers. He's been a damn good QB and took us to the playoffs last year. But Arch is clearly better than beat up Ewers at this point in the season..

There are plenty of parallels to draw from a QB that isn't as good early in his career but gets better over time. The same as QB's who start off hot and fizzle and others who have a good year or two but not much more.

There aren't many people here saying anything other than the Browns are done with Watson.

I was at the UT v Clemson game last night. Cade Klubnik is going to be a very good NFL QB. Competitive as all get out. Very good arm. Very smart. Good decision maker. Next year will be his 3rd as a Clemson starter. Perhaps he'll come out.
