Trubisky homers. lol Gross.

Keyed in on our #1. 2 nice plays. Rest of the time handled 1v1. Not sure who the opposing tackle was. Limited action. Far from excellent. Not alarmingly bad either. Surely wasn't the "dominant message sent to the league" he had planned on. Hopefully that happens in game 1 of the regular season.

I don't care what anyone says.. He does NOT want to be in Cleveland.. I don't care what bullshit he tells the media.

Pretty sure if you took an anonymous poll from the players on the roster right now and told them they have the choice of Cleveland vs. a playoff home team...

Nick you gotta let this one go.

we are getting 5 years of Myles Garrett then he is going to make a 130 million dollar contract. will we want to keep him who knows? usually pass rushers best years are within the first 5 i would say.

i think garrett is the most like khalil mack in todays nfl . i am also sure you haters would have declared him a bust after his 4 sacks his rookie year.

i think garrett will get his sacks maybe 6-8 more would be a bonus and will be a stud against the run. that is the biggest surprise to me good luck running at him from what i have seen so far just to quick and powerful.

On about what? What about my post wasn't accurate? Or are you referring to nickers?

your post was fair i thought he flashed on 4 of the 15 snaps 2 tfl 1 qb hit and the rb chasedown. it was such a limited snap count we cant really judge anything. the saints were getting the ball out pretty quick and short passing most of the time.

im more interested when we play teams that like to hold the ball and throw deep often flacco, ben, luck ect he will have more opportunity for sacks.

GGG at the podium

No longer holding back on Garrett. Loves him.

Unlike TJ Watt:

There's nothing to let go of...I'm just telling it how it is...

Cleveland Browns Players Amazed By Star Rookie Comfortable Walking Around Shirtless

CLEVELAND—Generating an excited buzz throughout the first three weeks of training camp, Cleveland Browns coaches and players have been amazed by how comfortable star rookie defensive end Myles Garrett appears walking around shirtless, sources confirmed Monday. “In my eleven seasons here, we’ve never had a guy with this kind of confidence and swagger,” said left tackle Joe Thomas, noting that a stunned hush fell over the team on the first day of training camp as they stared at Garrett in absolute awe when he self-assuredly jogged out onto the field for warmups wearing nothing but mesh shorts. “He’s never given being shirtless a second thought, you can tell he’s just that fucking bold and poised. It’s incredible having somebody around who has no doubt they can pull off that off, and I know it’s starting to rub off on the other guys.” At press time, sources confirmed that the entire team had timidly gathered to witness Garrett make eye contact with a reporter during a post-practice interview.

On another note ...holy shit Barnett looks incredible. Outperforming Garrett by miles. (ha ha pun)

A few of us wanted to go Trubisky 1, Barnett 12. What a combo.

We'll see how it all plays out. Kizer is the key.

On about what? What about my post wasn't accurate? Or are you referring to nickers?

My post wasn't directed at any one person. Just about the head-scratching negativity about Garrett. It's silly, in my opinion. The kid looks great so far. I think most of us are very happy to have him on the team.

I'll be very happy if he pans out and we didn't give up a franchise QB from Mentor to draft him. I call that realism. I'll be doubly happy if we managed to draft a franchise QB and Garrett. I'll be asking for heads to roll if Hue got it wrong after recruiting Williams to help him undercut his FO.

Hopeful he will dominate as predicted. Again, Kizer is the key ...he flourishes, all can be forgiven. If Trubisky is a star, Kizer is not, and all we got was a DE that could have been had at 12 with just as much talent? Goodbye Hue.

I agree with the sentiment of what you are saying, TBPP, but I have a feeling my timeline of deciding these things differs from yours. For instance, if Trubisky has a Carson Wentz-like season and Garrett is average this season and Kizer doesn't start, I feel like I am gonna hear (and correct me if I am assuming wrong) you call for Hue to be fired. But I feel that even if Garrett has only average numbers but shows progression and development and Kizer doesn't start because Brock looks solid, then I am happy and will still feel positive moving forward with our guys. Ultimately I do believe that Myles is going to turn out to be a stud at his position. Kizer is less of a sure thing but I am hopeful for him. But if the Browns opt to shoot for a QB high in the draft next year I won't be upset about it.

I realize my post jumped around a bit there. I guess what I am trying to say is that I feel patience is an absolute necessity with this team and this front office as long as we see some level of improvement and regardless of what other rookie QBs (Mitch Trubisky included) do for their respective teams.

I agree patience is needed for the front office.

I agree we will need more than 1 year to see what the ultimate outcome is.

I will base Hue's head rolling on the performance of the team this season, if he is able for example to allow Gregg Williams to carry the team to 8-8 we gotta give him another year ....I guess, or we could just promote Williams.

In my opinion Wentz didn't have that great of a season last year. But if Trubisky is able to equal that oe better it in the place he landed? Hue should be ushered out of here in a dumpster and his name should become a curse word in NE Ohio.

Trubisky isn't even supposed to start this season.

Regarding defensive draft choices:

Williams wanted Garrett #1 and I think I can live with that. He also wanted Peppers. I am happy to let him make that call.

Regarding quarterbacks:

David Lee thinks Kizer had big play ability if they can get him ready to start and that sounds good to me. And, just for the record, I have more confidence in Hue and Lee working with Kizer than Loggains and Ragone working with Trubisky.

Considering the uneven coaching of Kizer and Trubisky, if Trubisky excels and Kizer washes out, I will forced to give Gabe his due when it comes to quarterback evaluations. Hope it doesn't come to that. :)

Pretty much everyone here has been forced to give me their due dozens of times. It just never happens.

I'll be going back and quoting my Osweiler post in a few weeks. Will look for back patting meme later.

It's honestly a burden going against popular opinion and being right so often ...because it usually means the team I was brainwashed into loving is making the wrong decisions.

Here's to hoping the Browns were right about the big 3 QBs and right about Kizer & Garrett.

BTW first choice S for coaching staff was the Buckeye, not Peppers. But after Sashi & Depo gave Hue the big fuck you for ruining the top of the draft, they rolled the dice on Peppers dropping and got it right.

Funny. :)

I gave one to Shep (gasp) recently in regard to Kessler. He was really against the grain and apparently right. Had to give it to him. I don't remember you being that much of an Osweiler fan. I remember you as mainly and repeatedly pro-Mangini, pro-Hoyer, pro-Trubisky, anti-Hue and anti-Garrett.

I'll give you your due. You've surely paid them ;)
